ABOUT ABOUT

Ladies, enjoy a day to be energized in the Spirit during an Afternoon of Reflection “A Call to Holiness:  Bringing Jesus to Others."  Bring a friend and experience a day of inspiration, love and fellowship.  Speakers will touch your heart with their message of God’s love and help you prepare for the season of Lent.

This afternoon begins with doors opening at 9:30 am with lovely continental breakfast awaiting you in St. Mary's Family Life Center.

The program starts at 10 AM with Craig Pohl, "Women Who Brought Jesus Into My Life."  Craig is the Director of New Evangelization for the Diocese of Lansing.  His role is to help Catholics get comfortable talking about their faith with others as a way to bringing people to Jesus.

The second speaker is Mrs. Lisa Kutas, Director of Human Resources at the Diocese of Lansing.  Lisa will present “What Jesus wants us to Know."  Her talk will be seasoned with some personal testimony along with scripture on how people in our lives and our life experiences take us on a journey to know Jesus.

The morning session will be followed by a beautifully catered lunch of delicious choices of soup and salads to warm your mind, body and soul.

Following lunch, there will be a presentation by Women At Risk, International.  WAR, Int’l is a Grand Rapids-based, nonprofit organization, established to create circles of protection around at-risk women and children. Through culturally sensitive, value-added intervention projects and partnerships, WAR provides safe places to heal from abuse, trafficking, exploitation, and more. Their passion is to empower survivors to live and work with dignity and hope.  WAR, Int’l enables individuals with practical ways to take action, they extend their reach through you.

Craig Pohl will follow and introduce his Lifetime Discipleship Plan and tell us how we can form small groups to support each other on our faith journeys.

Silent Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament and Confession will be available in the church.   The day will also include small group discussions.

The program concludes at 4:15 pm. Attendees are welcome to mass at St. Mary's Church 4:30-5:30 pm.

Shopping will be available at the breaks through WAR international with beautifully handmade gift items.  The Saint Francis Retreat Center Bookstore will also provide some Catholic books and other gift items.
